OK, somebody explain to me again how the hockey girls beat the South Africans yesterday? I’m still in shock over this. If you look at the stats we had only 2 shots on target the entire match and converted both of them. South Africa on the other hand couldn’t convert on all but one of its 14 attempts and this in the dying minutes of the match where Malaysia was looking like slugs on the field. All the same, Malaysia Boleh.
The badminton peeps are doing plenty well. The squash squad not so well.
But the highlight of my day is the Kiwi’s sense of humor – their shuttlers are (unofficially) known as the Black Cocks. I knew I liked them for a reason.
In a game of cocks, I’d like to be a black one, too.
