I’ve been wanting to do this ever since I had the blog but never got around to it so nows a good time as any. I’m posting selected entried from my previous pseudo journalling site, partly as a introspective exercise and partly to read with amusement that not much has changed even after x number of years.
It won’t be a chronological thing. I’ll just browse and see what’s interesting and perhaps of relevance. For the introductory post I decided to see if I had an entry from the same day, however many years back and lucky me, there was. So enjoy looking back. Here’s time capsule entry #1:
whatever and war 3/4/2003
“WHATEVER” is a state of mind. Sort of like the anti-nirvana, but kinda parallel to Nirvana. It is a state of emptiness, not bouyed by euphoria but by lackadaisical indifference towards everything.
I just have one bee in my bonnet – the soon-to-happen war. I’m not sure you can call it a war since one side is obviously gonna thump the other side in a matter of days. Anyhow, my grievances are regarding those certain individuals who deem it ‘patriotic’ to diss those who speak out against the war. I heard a news anchor say that actors/artists who are anti-war should be used as human shields. Wow. Look up ‘hypocrite’ in the dictionary, ass-wipe. The actors have as much right to speak about whatever they want as you have done the same with your position as a news anchor on NATIONAL TV. Having said that, i dont think all pro-war people are neanderthals looking for a fight. Some do know how to state their opinions in a clear and educated manner. And I do respect that.
I wonder if all these rantings are in my FBI file…
