On my morning round of blog reads I see on TV Squad that Diane Neal, who plays ADA Casey Novak on SVU, will leave the show at the end of this season.
YEA!
Now, ignoring that source news citing Dick Wolf’s looking for an “up-and-comer” to replace Neal (which warrants an entire separate blog entry about why that’s just silly Dick cause nothing draws ratings like the return of a favorite character. HELLO??!)
… someone start Operation Bring Back ADA Cabot NOW!

YES! If we only knew how to contact her! I have an idea – anybody have a few thousand dollars lying around to donate to Safe Horizon? Maybe that could get her attention. And once we have it – we throw ourselves down in front of her and beg her to come back!
And there’s quite a lot of people who just KNOW that Olivia wants her back, too.
For once, PLEASE, let US have the happy ending… big sigh.

I don’t know you but I *like* the way you think. Alas, I haven’t got a few k’s stashed away but I like the idea throwing ourselves in front of her – something I’d likely do regardless of her intentions of returning to SVU.

I’m sorry, when I wrote this here yesterday, I had not seen the other news for the show… Liv “finally” getting her B O Y F R I E N D! I’m devasted. In order NOT to throw anything at our TV (it was expensive!), I better stop watching. It can only get bad.
This is the way I see it panning out.( not ”because I’m a Lesbian”, but because I’m an optimist)
The introduction of a ‘boyfriend’ is nothing more than a plot device, designed to show Olivia the error of her ways. She’ll ditch the beard and head off to the Bureau Chiefs office to claim her one and only True Love….Alex Cabot, who for whatever reason has been busted back to the SVU’s ADA. And everyone, apart from the E/O shippers lives happily ever after.
I could watch that!!!

I definitely think that they should bring Alex back!! She was a fantastic character and I know many people loved her and missed her when she was no longer on the show. Now that Diane Neal is deciding to leave, Stephanie March should come back and claim her rightful position as ADA Alex Cabot!! The thought of having a new ADA again, is not something I am looking forward to. Alex Cabot is the only true and great ADA in my mind and should be brought back to the show!!
Alex was far scarier than Casey was. I think that is something you need when you’re dealing with SVU cases. They would probably bring back a ton of viewers if they were to bring her back.

I started to watch SVU becasue of Stephanie March. I actually watched 30 Rock first. Before that, I have no idea about SVU. So, after 30 Rock 103, someone told me that Gretchen Thomas (the brilliant plastic engineer slash lesbian~~) was Alex Cabot from SVU. That day, was officially the day I became a SVU fan. And then, I became a total AO Shipper. These two women are just…I don’t know describe them, they are too hot to be straight and single.
When I first heard Neal’s leaving, I thought: wow, great, then our Alex could be back!
Seriously, if Dick Wolf doesn’t bring Alex back,it would be a huge mistake to fire Neal. I’d rather see Novak than any new ADA.
If he brings Alex back, I think we would more than happy to pretend “conviction” neven happen, right?

They so should bring Stephine March (AKA Alex Cabot) back if not for the full final season at least for the last show and I vote that she and Olivia do a hot and heavy make out seen at least once during the season or the final episode.

As much as I am truly taken with Casey Novak and her protiege I totally agree they sould bring back Alex Cabot. However I must be specific since Dick’s sly enough to pull one over on us and bring back the character and not the original actress(sometimes I think he’s as conspitorial as Munch). So save yourself a riot Dick and do as all a favor! What have you got to lose?

Let’s hope that Stephanie March really would be into doing this. All of the fans would love to have her back, it would be the biggest highlight to our lives. Since Alex left the show really has taken a turn in my opinion. I never was too fond of Casey and Stephanie March always gave a commanding performance!

Hey you – I found your blog because I have a standing search for all things Stephanie March (one of those search subscriptions that automatically lands in my inbox and sometimes brightens my morning by bringing me to sites that have the freshest Steph photos or such).
Seriously – who’s going to take the initiative to start the petition? Sadly, I’m swamped at work. But I’d wholeheartedly support it, once it’s created (there are quite a few serious sites out there where you can make your own petition (maybe better pick one in the EU or anywhere else outside the US, so our privacy is a tad more protected)). I’m quite connected, webwise.
Anybody up for the job? I think we should get going sooner than later, since everybody seems to be riled up right now.
I say we all start writing to Dick and NBC, flood them with letters, emails, and calls letting them know we want SM back.
