So I find myself really drawn to the Republican National Convention’s logo:

The design is clean and exercises a restrained use of the red-white-and-blue motif.
The Democrat’s logo, on the other hand, wasn’t nearly as memorable (I had to look it up and go “oh yeah…”) and reminds me vaguely of a postage stamp design:

I’m not too big on looking for meaning within these designs although I’m sure that they exist in abundance.
However, if someone can explain to me why both the Reps and Dems logos sport an Adidas-like three stripes on their design, that would be great. I can’t really figure that one out.
To fill post-Olympics void for people suffering from Olympics withdrawal such as myself.
