Hmm… As much as I like your petitions, there are two things to consider here:
Mariska might actually really stop after her contract is over at the end of this season, given her health problems.
If that’s the case – we would want a petition to have our two leading ladies ride off into the sunset together.
Oh… I can dream, right? Especially after those looks and comments they exchanged last night.
Yippieh! (At least for now, I’m floating on a cloud!)

wellllll.. if you’re going to drag me into speculating about contract renewals. (not like I won’t come along willingly
).
My theory about the whole thing is that there is no way in HELL this will be the last season for Mariska. SVU is a marquee NBC show and they will not let this series go without a season long goodbye a la ER. And Mariska (as well as Chris and the rest of the cast) know that they owe it to their fans to give the show a proper farewell.
So the contract may probably involve limited episodes that she might appear in depending on the prognosis of her condition but I’m going to bet you every single subtextual eye shagging between A and O that there *will* be another season.
It’ll be probably be very painful to watch… especially if they bring back Kimmie Gibbler– I mean Greyleck. Oh, the horrors.
Don’t really watch SVU. LOL
