nomming across the country: series 1

Thought I had more pics than this. But I already posted the ones from Melaka. I’ll do better in the next update.

In this series: Sushi King, ‘Famous’ Ngau Kee Beef Noodles, Dim Sum @ Jalan Ipoh 

Out of all the places I’ve eaten, at all the price range, I still think Sushi King’s got the best California Temaki:

I always call it the ‘beef noodle place behind Jalan Alor’ even though I know the damn street is called Tengkat Tong Shin. The place, Ngau Kee, is pretty well blogged already so I won’t need to rave about it. Suffice to say I’ve been going to this place on and off for more than 15 years. The neon sign has only been there the last six years:
