Honda Hot Wheels Racer

It’s SEXY. Not very practical but that’s not the point now, is it?

I also want Mario Kart(IGN.com) for teh Wii. ’nuff said.

At first I really wanted a second Les Paul guitar(Amazon) for Guitar Hero III. Now that it’s out, and I see that it costs $73.39 for just the guitar ($60ish from Walmart) … fuuuuuck that.

I’d rather save up for Guitar Hero Aerosmith (Amazon) coming out late June.

Or GTA IV for the Wii. Only god knows when that’ll be released. They better also offer that cool ass bundle that includes the duffle bag/plates/metal box for the Wii edition like they’re doig currently for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Harrumph!

Y’all know I show a lot of love for TED. It’s yet another reason to move back to the west coast. Although where I’ll find the 6 grand a year membership fees in order to qualify to attend one of these conferences is another matter altogether. The 2008 conference is going on right now and ends March 1st. This year’s meeting will bring speakers to explore questions such as:
Is beauty truth? Will evil prevail? How dare we be optimistic? and my personal favorite: How True Is Your World View?. Al Gore is speaking tomorrow. And Robin Williams was at a panel discussion event for the conference yesterday and helped kill dead air by telling jokes while the technical issues were being resolved, reports Wired. Check out the rest of Wired’s TED blogging. In particular, check out the story of the brain doctor (oh sorry, a neuroanatomist) who while experiencing a stroke analytically processed the experience. Bonus points: she works out of IU.

TED is great at inspiring me; TED is also great at making me feel like I did jack shit with my life. TED Under 30 groups together videos of presenters who are out-thinking the rest of us by the time they reach quarter life. Or just watch the on/by Emily Oster.

David and Gillian were at WonderCon, San Francisco. GARRRRGGGHHHHHH.

Check out Ain’t It Cool News’ report of the X-Files 2 movie panel which included DD, GA, God (Chris Carter) and Frank Spotnitz. Oh boy.. just typing these names make me nostalgic.

A few highlights from the report if you’re too lazy to read:

• They. Had. A. Trailer. OMG. (but i’m not gonna watch. nope. NOWAI)
• Gillian said she SUCKED for the first two days of shooting.
• More X-Files movie will happen.
• Gillian’s favorite episode is BAD BLOOD. DD: “She loves Bad Blood… every day it’s ‘Bad Blood-Bad Blood- Bad Blood!’” that’s ok, Gillian. We adored Bad Blood too. -ed.
• Mark Snow will score le movie. Sweet.
• Gillian looked hot. Hell, David looked hot.
• None of the 4 on the panel play video games, at least not Zelda.

God, the good old days.. eh folks?

So not only am I generally not motivated this semester. Today arrived a package that will surely doom any efforts to get decent grades and graduate on time. Somebody pry this guitar away from me now!!!

It’s not as if I’m great at it or anything. After only 3 hours on it (yes, only 3) I don’t believe I’ll progress beyond the ‘Medium’ levels. Face melting solos on ‘Hard’? Chyearite.

UPDATE 10.06PM: Oh and here’s news - playing it too much will give you tennis elbow. I’m at work and hurting.

Chickipedia (currently in Beta) wants to give you a database of hot chicks, wiki style.

It could prove to be incredibly useful for say.. iono, when you see some chick on tv and want to know more and instead of going to some sleazy site, you could go… Chickipedia’ing. I kid. I kid.

An example of an entry on Steffi Graf:

That last statement totally cracks me up.
